Ingredients
  • 2 lbs. beef stew meat
  • 2 tablespoon Clabber Girl Cornstarch (this is gluten free)
  • 1 cup water (you can add more if you like)
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • 1½ cup beef broth (Pacific Natural Beef Broth)
  • 1 cup carrots, chopped
  • 1 cup potatoes, cubed
  • 1 cup green beans, 1 inch
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
Instructions
  1. Heat oil in a large stew pot.
  2. Brown beef then add water, broth and all other ingredients except cornstarch and vegetables
  3. Cover and simmer for 1½ hrs.
  4. Remove bay leaves
  5. Add vegetables and simmer for 30 minutes
  6. Add cornstarch to thicken
  7. (Option: You can cut down the time if you use a pressure cooker, 15 mins. to cook the meat then another 3 minutes for the vegetables.)
