Author: Jan Withington
Recipe type: Main
Cuisine: Mexican
Serves: 4
Ingredients
- 2 pounds flank steaks or any good cut (I used New York steaks)
- MARINADE
- 1 teaspoon McCormick Ground Cumin - gluten free
- 1 jalapeno, minced
- ½ cup fresh cilantro, finely chopped
- 4 to 5 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ of lime juice
- 1½ teaspoon sea salt
- 5 tablespoon olive oil
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- SERVE WITH
- Mission Gluten Free Tortillas
- sour cream
- diced tomatoes
- lime wedges
- slices of avocado
- fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Place the steak in a large resealable bag with the marinade ingredients. Marinate for at least 3 hours or up to 8 hours for best result.
- Remove the steak from the fridge 30 minutes before planning to cook.
- If cooking indoors, use a large cast iron grill pan otherwise grill steak about 6 to 7 minutes per side if using flanks steaks; for other cut of steaks, cook depending on thickness and desired doneness.
- Let the steak rest 5 to 10 minutes before slicing.
- Serve with gluten free tortillas, sour cream, diced tomatoes, avocados, lime wedges and fresh cilantro. Yum!
