Recipe type: Main
Cuisine: Mexican
Serves: 4
Ingredients
  • 2 pounds flank steaks or any good cut (I used New York steaks)
  • MARINADE
  • 1 teaspoon McCormick Ground Cumin - gluten free
  • 1 jalapeno, minced
  • ½ cup fresh cilantro, finely chopped
  • 4 to 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ of lime juice
  • 1½ teaspoon sea salt
  • 5 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • SERVE WITH
  • Mission Gluten Free Tortillas
  • sour cream
  • diced tomatoes
  • lime wedges
  • slices of avocado
  • fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
  1. Place the steak in a large resealable bag with the marinade ingredients. Marinate for at least 3 hours or up to 8 hours for best result.
  2. Remove the steak from the fridge 30 minutes before planning to cook.
  3. If cooking indoors, use a large cast iron grill pan otherwise grill steak about 6 to 7 minutes per side if using flanks steaks; for other cut of steaks, cook depending on thickness and desired doneness.
  4. Let the steak rest 5 to 10 minutes before slicing.
  5. Serve with gluten free tortillas, sour cream, diced tomatoes, avocados, lime wedges and fresh cilantro. Yum!
