Gluten Free Apple Fritters

Ingredients
  • 3 cups Cup4Cup Multipurpose Flour - gluten free
  • 3 teaspoons Clabber Girl Baking Powder - gluten free
  • 3 teaspoons McCormick Ground Cinnamon - gluten free
  • 3 teaspoons McCormick Pure Vanilla Extract - gluten free
  • 1½ teaspoon salt
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup to 1½ cups whole milk, should be slightly thick
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large apples (granny smith, honey crisp) diced
  • vegetable oil for frying
  • powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
  1. Pour about 3 inches of vegetable oil in a Dutch oven and heat over medium low to medium heat until about 300 degrees F.
  2. In an large bowl mix the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, granulated sugar, vanilla, milk, butter, eggs, salt. Add the apples and stir to incorporate.
  3. Use an ice cream scoop and slowly slide into the hot oil. Work in batches about 6 to 8 at a time. Fry 5 to 6 minutes or until browned and crispy. Transfer to a plate with paper towels. When you're done dust with powdered sugar. Super yummy!

It looks so delicious! My kids are going to love this. They avoid fruits and vegetables but the moment you fry them, they somehow can’t get enough of it.
