Ingredients
- Rub:
- 1 tablespoon McCormick Garlic Powder - g-free
- 1½ teaspoon Kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon McCormick Ground Ginger - gluten free
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon McCormick Crushed Red Pepper Flakes - g-free
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 pork tenderloins
- Glaze:
- 1 tablespoon Clabber Girl Cornstarch - gluten free
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
- 3 tablespoons Tamari Soy Sauce - gluten free
- ½ cup water
- fresh cilantro, for garnish
- lime wedges for garnish
- salt and pepper
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine the powdered ginger, salt, brown sugar, garlic, cinnamon,black pepper and red pepper flakes. Rinse the pork and dry them thoroughly with paper towels. Rub the mixture all over pork.
- Place the tenderloins into the slow cooker. Pour the water over tenderloins. Cook on low for 8 hours.
- Preheat the broiler.
- In a small saucepan, combine the soy sauce, ½ cup sugar, rice vinegar, cornstarch, water and season with salt and black pepper. Heat over medium heat stirring constantly until thickens about 5 minutes. Stir in the minced ginger and remove from the heat. Remove the pork from the slow cooker and discard the juice.
- Lightly grease a cast iron skillet then place the pork and brush the pork generously with the glaze.
- Broil the pork on the highest rack for about 3 minutes. You can brush more glaze and broil for 3 more minutes until bubbly. Garnish with cilantro and lime wedges. Serve
