Gluten Free Fried Tofu with Oyster Sauce

Delicious gluten free crispy fried tofu with oyster sauce

Ingredients
  • 14 ounceHouse Foods Firm Organic Tofu, diced (about ¾ of an inch) - gluten free
  • 2 tablespoons gluten free oyster sauce
  • 3 tablespoons gluten free hoisin sauce
  • 3 tablespoons Clabber Girl Cornstarch - gluten free
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce or tamari
  • 4 to 5 bok choy, chop
  • 4 to 6 ounces sugar snap peas, ends trimmed
  • ½ of medium onion, diced
  • ¼ cup water
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • salt and pepper
  • canola oil for frying
  • salt and pepper
Instructions
  1. Place diced tofu into a shallow pan and pat dry with paper towels. Sprinkle the cornstarch over tofu making sure all sides are dusted.
  2. Heat enough oil into a wok and heat on medium-high heat. Fry the tofu in 2 batches for about 2 to 3 minutes or until lightly brown and crispy. Remove with a slotted spatula to a plate lined with paper towels.
  3. Remove the oil from the wok but 2 tablespoons. Add the onion and garlic, saute for few minutes then add the snap peas. Cook for 3 minutes, add water, sesame oil and the bok choy followed with the sauces. Stir for few minutes then add the crispy tofu. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper. Yum!
