Recipe type: Main
Serves: 6
Ingredients
  • 1 salmon fillet, cut into serving sizes
  • Lawry's Season salt - gluten free
  • olive oil
  • chopped fresh chives
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1 stick butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • pinch of McCormick Cayenne Pepper - gluten free
  • pinch of salt
Instructions
  1. Preheat a cast iron pan to medium high heat. Season salmon with seasoning salt and drizzle some olive oil. Sear the salmon about 2 to 3 minutes per side. Transfer to a platter.
  2. Prepare the hollandaise sauce. On a small saucepan, mix egg yolks with 1 tablespoon of lemon juice and beat until smooth. Heat another small saucepan with enough water to low heat. Do not let the water boil and make sure the water does not touch the bottom of the other saucepan. Place the saucepan with the egg yolks over the saucepan with water and stir the egg mixture, slowly add the melted butter stirring constantly. Add a pinch of cayenne pepper and a pinch of salt. Stir the mixture until thickened about 2 to 3 minutes. Pour hollandaise sauce over salmon and garnish with chopped fresh chives. Enjoy!
