Gluten Free Crispy Fried Halibut
Easy gluten free fried halibut

Ingredients
- 1 to 2 pounds skinless halibut, cut into serving pieces
- 1½ cups Kruzteas All purpose flour - gluten free
- ½ cup Cup4Cup All purpose flour - gluten free
- 1½ teaspoon Clabber Girl Baking Powder - gluten free
- 1½ teaspoon salt
- 1 to 1½ cups water or more
- vegetable oil for frying
- San J Tamari Soy Sauce, for dipping - gluten free
- lemon juice
Instructions
- Heat enough oil in a wok or deep fryer over medium heat.
- In a large bowl, combine the flours, baking powder, salt and water (consistency should be slightly thick). Use a handheld electric beater until smooth. Pat dry the halibut steaks with paper towels.
- Coat the fish letting excess batter to drip before frying. Fry until slightly golden and crispy turning few times. Transfer to a platter lined with paper towels.
- Pour enough soy sauce in a small bowl and squirt lemon juice. Serve
Notes
I used a bamboo skewer to pick up the halibut and dipping them in the batter then gently dropping them in the hot oil. This way they get a more even coat.

Very yummy! You can also use tartar sauce for dipping.
